Kovu the husky is a beautiful 3 and a half-year-old dog with heterochromia who loves to sing along with his dad. The adorable dog is extremely talented and has an amazing voice!
Kovu and his human Tate Hegstrom went viral on social media after Hegstrom posted a video of them singing along to Bill Withers’ song Lean on Me. The duo gained a lot of fame and recorded even more singing videos.
The husky has been singing ever since he was 3 months old. In an interview with The Koala Tate Hegstrom opened up about his doggos singing ability. He said, “It is a part of the husky breed. Howling shows a sense of belonging to the pack. It’s his way of showing emotion!”
The dog spends all his free time singing. Any time there is music around him, he joins in on the fun! Tate also mentioned that whenever they return home after being away even for a few minutes, Kovu welcomes them with a big howl. He has been to multiple television shows including Good Morning America and the Kelly Clarkson Show.
Furthermore, Kovu loves singing along to Justin Bieber and The Beatles. Tate also added, “Anything with a few long notes for him to hit he absolutely loves.”
Do not underestimate the talents of this four-legged singer. “Kovu is independent, joyful, full of energy, loving, and also vocal. He wears his emotions on his sleeve, so you’ll always know how he feels.” His human dad has posted multiple more videos of them singing together on their Instagram as well.
