Joe Biden’s German Shepherd has taken over social media! President-Elect Joe Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden are preparing themselves to move into the White House in January 2021. While the entire country is excited about their tenure, their dogs Major and Champ have definitely stolen their spotlight!
Dogs will be returning to the White House after four years. During President Donald Trump’s tenure, there was no Presidential pet in the White House, but things are about to change. Joe Biden’s German Shepherd will be joining him when he steps into the Presidents office. The Biden’s have adopted 2 German Shepherds: Major and Champ.
During his Presidential campaign Biden jokingly said, “It’s time we put a pet back in the White House.”
Furthermore, Major will be the first rescue dog ever to live in the White House. The Biden family adopted Major after fostering him from the Delaware Humane Association in November 2018. The Delaware Humane Association also posted a celebratory post on their social media regarding Major’s adoption.
They wrote, “Today is a Major’s lucky day. Not only did Major find his forever home, but he got adopted by Vice President Joe Biden & Dr. Jill Biden! The Bidens have gotten to know Major while fostering him and are now ready to make the adoption official. Best of luck and thank you for being one of our Friends for life!”
Joe Biden won the 2020 Presidential elections against Donald Trump recently. Biden won with a significant margin from Trump and has been elected the 46th President of the United States. According to the Associated Press, Joe Biden won 290 seats whereas, Trump only got 214 seats.
Moreover, Kamala Harris has been elected as the Vice President. She is the first woman, and the first black and Asian American to achieve this position!
We wish Champ and Major all the best for the future and look forward to seeing more updates about them from the White House!
